Eeek! The happiest Wednesday. I am SO excited to share the branding that my friend Monica did for eudaemonic! This little newsletter has already brought so much joy, and I think the new branding really reflects the excitement (!) and the happiness that it stands for. I hope you love it as much as I do! Note: if you’re reading on the Substack app (which is actually my favorite place to read), you won’t be able to see much of what I’m referring to — best visible in emails and on the Substack site.
I’m both relieved and a tad terrified by how much time I felt I had on my hands over the last week. Friday began my social media summer break, and as you’ll see from the photos, I felt like I did so much more. I made some progress on a needlepoint project, had dinner with friends, went on the most fun morning date, and rearranged all of the accessories around our house for a fresh look. It’s hard (I am missing so much Taylor content!!!), but I already feel it’s worthwhile. My brain is slowly, but surely, unwinding.

SHOPPING
Are you familiar with Museum Bees? They’ve long been on my radar, but I finally bought a little mouse at the Antiques and Gardens show this year. At $65/piece, I think they can make really thoughtful gifts and fun (quirky?) home accents. I am eyeing a bunny for our next!
I absolutely love my Desmond & Dempsey square nighties (I have the pink linen and the Jag Navy), and they’re having a big summer sale right now. Lots of fun finds 30% off!
I went to Fleet Feet this weekend to upgrade my running shoes, and I’m already obsessed with the pair they recommended — the Asics Novablast 4. They are cushioned and almost bouncy but super light. I bought the grey and pink colorway, but there are tons more online.
They’re a little funky looking, but I actually love my white horseshoe jeans. I’m thinking about getting this darker wash (once the temps drop a little).
Another great Old Navy find by my mom — $8 ribbed, high neck tanks!
READING
I devoured (no pun intended) every single word of this New York Times article, “57 Sandwiches That Define New York City.” The photos, the descriptions, the categories … so much fun to read. (This is a gift link so you can read without a subscription!)
COOKING
I’ve been trying to get a little more creative (but simple — so simple) for meals this summer. There’s not much of a recipe for these, and often they come out of a need to use up end of the week groceries. While they almost feel too simple to share, I personally love knowing what people eat day-to-day and thought I’d bring them over here. First up …
The Easiest Avocado Toast
One of my most popular posts on my old blog was how I made avocado toast. These days, you probably have your own “recipe” you like or you’ve outgrown it entirely. Nevertheless, my approach: 1) Mash an avocado (half or whole depending on the size) with a little lemon juice, salt, and cayenne pepper. 2) Spread on top of wheat toast (the wheatier, the better IMO) 3) Top with a little olive oil, flaky salt, and crushed red pepper flakes Bonus: Add poached eggs. Bring water to a boil with a little dash of vinegar; turn heat to low; crack one or two eggs in and let cook for three minutes. The perfect runny poached eggs!
WATCHING
On Sunday morning, RJ and I picked up bagels and iced coffee from Crieve Hall Bagel Co., stuffed them into my old Longchamp, and headed to Regal for a 10:30 a.m. movie. We saw Inside Out 2, and I truly cannot more highly recommend. I’ve had the release date marked on the calendar for months, and it lived up to all expectations. Tackling anxiety (and envy, embarrassment and boredom), the movie has a message that brought this 32-year-old to tears multiple times. It’s wonderful.
I’d not been to a morning movie in years. It was really fun to have breakfast and coffee in the theater. It made an otherwise ordinary date into something a little more special. Definitely recommend trying it out!

That’s all for this week. Hope yours is so very happy!
xx, Annie
Honored to have worked on this with you! Thank you OG blogging for the start of our friendship 💕
I also deleted Instagram on Friday. My goal is 2 months. I don’t miss it as much as I thought I would??! We are on vacation this week and I’m curious how it will feel once back in our normal routine.
