#5: The Weekly Rundown
As this arrives in your inbox, I’m making my way to my best friend’s wedding, and I can hardly contain myself !!! I love celebrating all of life’s moments, and this one is particularly special.

EATING
This month marks two full years of monthly dinners with six of my girlfriends. At the time, it sounded crazy that we’d only get together once per month, but those dinners have shown me just how quickly time flies. Each month, one of us selects a spot — a fancy new restaurant, one of our old reliables (Taqueria del Sol), or cooking in one of our homes — and we meet for drinks and dinner and catching up on all we’ve missed over the previous month. Can’t recommend a tradition like this more!
The best ice cream I have ever had was last summer’s Double Dough at Jeni’s, so I was thrilled to find out it’s back this summer starting this week !! Ice cream is never my dessert of choice, but I’d choose this over almost anything. From their site — “Chocolate chip cookie dough swirled into a buttery brown sugar custard. Tastes like cookie dough with a side of cookie dough.” It typically sells out quickly, so grab some while you can.
FITNESS
I am a HUGE fan of the Peloton app and bike. I took this Body Appreciation ride with Leanne this week (recommend!), and she shared a quote that really stuck with me.
“My body is not yours to critique and discuss. My body is not yours for consumption. My body is my vessel. An archive of experiences. A weapon that has fought battles only I understand. A library of love, pain, struggle, victory, and mystery. Your eyes cannot define all it has endured. Do not place value upon my body, place it upon my being.” — Sophie Lewis
RJ and I joined the Y last weekend, and I am really looking forward to treadmill access. I’ve done two of the Peloton hikes now (this one and this one), and they are incredible workouts. I would say run-level hard, but in a more accessible way if that makes any sense?
SHOPPING
Above, you might have spotted my favorite blanket ever. Lulie Wallace’s quilts are so soft, the perfect weight, and in the prettiest prints. They’re great gifts!
These flower flats from Zara are adorable.
I really love my Lake Pajamas seersucker nightgown in white, and the new red stripe set is super cute. I love their classic pima fabric for robes, but strongly prefer their more crisp cotton styles for nightgowns and other pajamas! (I have an addiction to buying PJs.)
Anthropologie dresses have been making dressing for work much easier lately. The fabrics tend to be on the thicker side in a nice way, keeping them from wrinkling too easily. My old favorite isn’t available anymore, but I got this one (I love the waist!) and this brown one (also cute in hot pink) this weekend. Also eyeing this similar one in black and this far less practical but super fun maxi.

Sending lots of love.
xx, Annie
